EDCO and MDB Formalize Partnership

(TORONTO, ON – May 5, 2015) The Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) is pleased to announce a new partnership agreement with MDB Insight Inc. (MDB).

“MDB has been a longstanding contributor to EDCO and our work. We have been working together informally for years” stated EDCO CEO Heather Lalonde. “It’s wonderful to have a formalized partnership that will truly bring increased value to our members.”

EDCO and MDB will work together to deliver programming and resources to EDCO members to enhance the knowledge and capacity of economic development professionals.  This formalized new partnership will offer leadership, with a focus on the development and readiness of those entering the field as young professionals, increasing resources to EDCO members, and enhancing the current curriculum over the next 2 years.

“MDB was born from Ontario’s economic development community, and we’ve always been proud supporters of EDCO,” said Brock Dickinson, Principal with the firm. “As we continue to expand into new fields like cultural planning and workforce development, and as we begin working in communities across the United States and Europe, we’re making a commitment to our roots.  Giving back to the Ontario economic development community – in time, in knowledge, in sponsorships, in support – has always been a key value of MDB, and this MOU helps us demonstrate that commitment more fully. We look forward to a great future with EDCO.”
